Types of Advertising Methods That You Can Use

My website is totally devoted to direct mail marketing, but there are other advertising methods you could use as well.

I have listed below several other types of advertising which may also be suitable for marketing your business. Much of it depends on if you have a physical store, virtual store or you work from your kitchen table or home office, to sell your product or service.

Take a look at these other advertising methods and see which will work for you!

1. Advertising on the internet with a website, links from other people's website, mass emails and using classified ad sites on the Internet.
2. Advertise on the radio.
3. Advertise on TV.
4. Do an interview for radio or TV about a topic that relates to what you are selling, which may allow you to also casually mention what you have to offer your listeners or viewers.
5. Write up a Press Release and send it to printed newspapers and magazines as well as places on the Internet that are seeking "news" items.
6. Write an article on a topic related to your product or service and in the resource box give contact information for yourself.
7. Use a magnetic sign on your auto to advertise.
8. Use business cards and hand them out to anyone who you meet that has an interest in what you offer.
9. If you have a product that is unique, you can contact catalog companies to see if they might use to carry your product in their printed or online catalog.
10. Have a small ad typeset and place it in magazines.
11. Use the same small ad made into a rubber stamp and stamp it on every piece of outgoing mail.
12. Have envelopes printed up and put your ad on them.
13. Place classified ads in newspapers, weekly shoppers and magazines.
14. Have flyers printed up and place them on parked cars at shopping centers and malls.
15. Use your postal meter machine with your ad printed along with the postage onto outgoing mail.
16. Give away key chains, calendars, pens and more with your advertising on them.
17. Publish a newsletter that gives provides information along with your advertising included in it.
18. Put ads and flyers on local bulletin boards in grocery stores, laundry mats, etc.
19. Pass at your flyers to shoppers at shopping centers, streets corners and malls.
20. Give a talk or seminar to clubs and organizations which will give you an audience to educate as well as promote your product.
21. Advertise in directories like the phone book, merchandise directories, etc.
22. Contact book authors and publishers about listing you as a resource for what you have to sell.
23. Write up a booklet that is informative and include your own ads.
24. Contact a publisher to insert your flyer in all their outgoing newspapers or magazines.
